THE NAME CERAS STANDS FOR SOMETHING MUCH BIGGER THAN A HEALTHCARE TECHNOLOGY COMPANY
The word Ceras is Latin. Why Latin?
We wanted to honor the Ancient Roman roots of medical language.
The word Ceras means honeycomb. What do honeycombs have to do with healthcare?
Honey was widely used throughout Ancient Roman pharmacopoeia. It was used as an antibiotic and a topical treatment for wound care after surgery.
Honey was also an elixir, referred to as “liquid gold”, thought to prolong life.
Ceras also means wax-covered writing tablet.
Doctors in Ancient Rome wrote their medical diagnosis on wax tablets. At Ceras Health®, we deliver our solution using digital devices, including tablets.
Our vision is inspired by bees whose secret to survival is working together for the wellbeing of the hive.
Our product, I’M HOME!®, provides a platform where patients, providers and caregivers work together for the improvement of each individual’s health, wellbeing, and happiness.
